Gangster Goldy Brar, who lives in Canada, is suspected of planning the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala. He was apprehended in California.
On May 29, Moosewala was fatally murdered in his village in the Mansa district of Punjab. The attackers fired up to thirty shots at him. The murder’s perpetrator, Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had already admitted guilt. Muktsar is the hometown of Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Brar. In 2017, he entered Canada with a student visa
The Tribune has reliable information from multiple sources that the top mobster is being held by the US Police in California for almost a week.
In full awareness of Brar’s incarceration in California is the Indian government.
Goldy Brar’s detention in the US has been confirmed by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. While addressing to the media in Gujarat, he verified it.
Brar may have requested asylum, thus the government is evaluating his status in the US through back channels.
The leader of the outlawed terrorist group Sikhs For Justice, Gurpatwant Pannu, is also present in the US.
Goldy Brar was the subject of two lookout notices from the Punjab Police. The first occurred in the case of Sidhu Moosewala, and the second occurred earlier this month for the murder of Pardeep Singh, an adherent of Dera Sacha Sauda who was also a defendant in a sacrilege case.
When his claimed phone audio recordings attempting to organise shelter for the shooters in the Moosewala case in Ambala surfaced, Pannu was connected to Goldy Brar and the Sidhu Moosewala murder.
The late singer’s father, Balkaur Singh, said on Thursday that anyone “handing up Goldy Brar” to police will receive a “prize” of Rs 2 crore from his own wallet.
“I will pay the person who turns in Goldy Brar a prize of Rs 2 crore out of my own pocket. At a gathering in Amritsar, Balkaur Singh declared, “He is the genuine murderer of my son.
Further criticising the state government, he demanded to know why it was “hell-bent on destroying the youth of Punjab.” He questioned the government’s alleged lack of vigilance in pursuing criminal prosecution of the gangsters.
